Karen Luna

Karen Luna - Spanish Teacher

I am a first generation Salvadoran American. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. I moved to Santa Barbara to attend UC Santa Barbara in 1999 and have lived here ever since. While at UCSB I worked on a BA in English, a Teaching Credential, a Master in Latin American and Iberian Studies and a Master in Education. I currently teach Spanish at Santa Barbara City College and have worked at Harding as an intervention teacher for the past 3 years. I am passionate about learning. I love exploring and learning through language and travel. I hope to bring a passion and joy to students about culture and language.
